Four months in a nutshell

It goes without saying that I haven't posted anything in a while and I plan on fixing that tonight!  Lets see, what all has happened...
1. Visited Samantha back in March for her birthday, we had a great time.
2. Got laid off last month, still looking for a job.
3. Got to visit Samantha about a week ago, the kids that she takes care of took a week long trip to Georgia with their mom to visit family and Samantha went along... which means I took a weekend trip up to Georgia myself :).
4. And I get to see her yet again this weekend!  She's flying down here Saturday for my graduation on Monday!  Yes, it's finally happening.  She'll also get to attend the last couple of nights of our meeting.

Yes, our meeting!  It started today and will go through next Sunday and it's with Don King.  Naturally everybody is more than welcome to come!

Well, that's it pretty much.  If you want to see pictures then check out Samantha's xanga!

Here is the obligatory new years entry.

I reckon I'm one of the last people to write about the Alabama New Years meeting.  Needless to say, it was great!  Samantha came down on the 27th and stayed with us until the 1st which was just super.  We got to spend a lot of time together and that made the meeting even better.  We got to go to the beach which was a lot of fun and she got some great pictures too.  One particular thing that was fun was that on the way there I bought a loaf of bread and we fed that to the seagulls when we got there.  That's something I always like to do.  It's amazing how they find out where food is.  You'll be standing there and one will fly over and you'll toss up a piece of bread.  They'll grab it out of the air and less than a minute later you'll have 20 or so sea gulls flying around you.  You'd think they knew morse code or something!  They're pretty talented too.  The bread almost never hits the ground since they grab it out of the air.  What's even more fun is when you make them work for it, like when you hold a piece in your hand and they have to take it out of your fingers.  I eventually tried some stranger stuff, kinda like the awesome picture below that Samantha was able to take.  In case you're wondering, yes, that's a piece of bread on my knee and that sea gull is about to take it right off.  Interesting fact: if you place the bread on top of your head, they'll swoop by and grab that too!

Here's a picture of us at the beach

And finally, this is probably our favorite picture.  Well, mine anyways :)

I think it's over!

Well, I got back my grades from this past semester today.  There were a few classes that I was worried about failing and I was pretty sure I made 5 C's.  Amazingly enough, I made 2 C's and the rest B's!  What this means is that unless there's been a mixup in paperwork somewhere, I'm completely through with College!  Done!  Finito! Nada!  I just won't be able to have the official graduation ceremony until after the spring semester is over which is ok with me, just as long as I'm done!

Check it out!

As some of you may notice, I now have a really cool background on my xanga.  I can't take any of the credit though.  No, I have Samantha to thank for that and she did a really cool job!  I feel like I'm flying when I look at it Apparently she had a lot of free time today since she was basically snowed in.  Snowed in!!!  You want to know what the temps here were today?  Warm enough for me to not wear a jacket!  It was in the 80's.  I wish I could have some snow... .  Oh well, my days are getting better and better 'cause I know it's only 27 more days till she gets here and that's cause for celebration! :)

Daniel's Weekend Update

Actually, it's last weekend update because I"m about a week behind.  So two weeks ago jump on random planes and find myself at the Kansas City, MO. airport and I was lucky enough to find Sammie.  And her parents!  So that started off me weekend good.  All joking aside, I had a super great time.  We got to spend a lot of time together and have fun.  That Saturday we went bowling and played a couple games, then went shopping at CompUSA and Best Buy.  I say shopping but we really walked around looking at all the cool stuff.  Well, cool stuff to me at least :)  I also got to meet her best friend forever Katy who is very cool.  I bolded her name because I mispelled it once and she was quick to let me know, :p.  Right now me and Samantha are in a race to see who can finish their post first.  She just finished her first paragraph.  I said I did too but now I'm not sure.  Let me check... yeah, I'm done.
I think I'm gonna stop after this paragraph and declare me the winner... yes!
Oh, she has some pictures from the weekend on her yahoo page which can be found here: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/achildofgod2006@sbcglobal.net/album/576460762330663232
